About this painting:
Growing up in a small rural community I had to deal with the pressures of bullying from not only my peers but adults and humanity and society as a whole. We have to deal with censorship from the world and even within our own communities online and offline. Throughout recent art history and within the art world the male body has been often frowned upon. In this piece I showcase the rainbow color of equality with a representation of a male body based on ancient Greek sculpture.

In my art I like to fuse contradicting concepts into a singular entity. Such as in this piece, where I use black and white to represent societal expectations of masculinity juxtaposed with the vibrant colors of the rainbow and equality.

This piece is about freedom, self love, empowerment, and self acceptance.
